Dear Connie , I am so sorry that your son had this awful experience. It
happened to me about 8 years ago .I was pouring bacon grease from the
skillet to a glass container and it shattered and my gown caught fire on
the front .The fire was coming up to my face and I had the impulse to
run .Did not , but I had burns from my toes to my chin .It was almost a
month before I could dress . He is in my prayers and I also ask God to
heal his spirit from the fear of fire .

This morning when I was home schooling my kids, I was grading my
youngest sons paper when he decided he was cold, he backed all the
way up to the heater, and when he did his shirt got caught. The next
thing I knew my son was jumping up and down screaming mom! mom! mom!
(he was facing me so I couldn't see the back of his shirt.) He then
turned and started running down the hallway, and me and my other 2
kids ran after him, (he was on fire!) My middle son got him out and
ripped his clothes off of him. He has 3rd degree burns completely on
his back and neck and his hair is cinged very badly. Thank GOD we got
it out before his hair caught fire. Anyway, I will be taking a week
or so off the computer to care for my son and I will not be answering
emails or group mails. Please..... if you have small children, let
them know not to run when their clothes catch fire. My son is 10 and
I thought he knew to stop, drop and roll, but he did not. He IS going
to be okay, but is very badly burned. Please keep us in your prayers.
*hugs all*
