Not really understanding what you all are referring to, I searched for "WDM and sound cards"
Here is the result from Microsoft. for XP though



Note I hope to be able to run rocky on a 98se system ot trying to understand why it
should not run

Hi Rein,

Windows Driver Model (WDM) was first implemented in Windows 98, in a limited form, and it did not work very well. In the later versions of Windows WDM was significantly improved. I cannot tell in advance if Rocky will or will not work on Win98SE. If it doesn't, there is nothing I can do about it. In any case, if your hardware is good enough to run SDR software, it should be able to run at least Windows 2000, so you have an option to upgrade your OS.
