SdrDX on OS X - Script for Ensemble RX II

Has anyone out there set up a Python routine to capture center freq info from SdrDX and send it out to the Ensemble II?

I don't understand your question.

And we don't understand your answer, because you didn't quote any of the message you were replying to, and thus don't have a clue what you're talking about.

If your iPod makes it hard to do this, don't use your iPod for email.

Not getting a lot of response, I'll try to expand a little.

I am running SdrDX on a MacBook Pro. It listens to the Ensemble RX II nicely. I would like to be able to tune (set the center frequency) of the RX II from within SdrDX.

While SdrDX cannot talk directly to the RX II, it does send out messages including frequency changes. These can be captured in a Python routine. In theory we should be able to format these messages and pass them on to the RX II via USB.

Hence my original question.

Sorry for the confusion- here's the original message.

I know nothing about this.
But my first response is to use a search engine.
"SdrDX frequency softrock" in Google gives results like Again I have no idea if this is relevant but I suggest this method if you get no reply.

I get it now Tom.
I thought there already was a USB/Macintosh interface to the Softrocks? I'm fairly sure there was/is. It may have been for DSP Radio. There are a few Windows applications that are in the same boat and have become orphans ie. can't talk to the SI570. There are a few Mac users here so if you ask about Mac to Softrock interfaces you may get more response.

Tom,

This is the software I mentioned in my previous message- looks like he has a handle on it.

Tom,
Peter here - I have SdrDX working with an old MacBook Air and Ensemble RX II.
I rewrote the python scripts supplied by the developer of SDRDX for python3 and have good transparent control over the Si570 through the USB port with a helper python3 tcp monitor program running as a daemon in background on the same macbook. If there is any interesest at all after all these years, lmk, be glad to share them.

I am about 50% successful - the Sabrent USB audio device works well but I get only half the bandwidth... the mirror image problem.
A behringer UCA202 works too but is no improvement.
I will create a new thread since this one is like 9 years old!

Hi Peter,
Yes please do create another thread. I am insterested in your python control scripts for the SI570.
Thanks! Do you have a website
