Re: software that uses the key input?
Jody That's reminded me, some of those links here https://sites.google.com/site/g4zfqradio/installing-and-using-hdsdr#h.57okssh8ijf and some other methods. 73 Alan G4ZFQ

Re: software that uses the key input?
Brent, To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to use the "Paddle" jack on a Softrock RXTX to generate CW. It has been quite a few years since I went down the road that you are now on. I found

Re: software that uses the key input?
CW just works with quisk - not much configuration needed https://james.ahlstrom.name/quisk/docs.html

Re: software that uses the key input?
Thanks all for the advice. I will continue my question in the Quisk .io group. Still don't see a way to configure the Ensemble's key input for transmit, but I'll get there! 73, Brent, AB1LF

Re: software that uses the key input?
I use an external iambic keyer to key one line of the key input jack. The keyer has a hardware sidetone which I prefer to use > 25wpm. This gives me semi break in operation with quisk and the

Re: software that uses the key input?
Best to ask on the n2adr-sdr group on groups.io if you get stuck. When you click on the config button, the Config screen allows you to setup various radios. Softrock is the default just that you will

Re: software that uses the key input?
I must need to dig further into Quisk. While I have installed it under both Windows and Linux, I haven't discovered how to configure it to use the key input from the SoftRock. Thanks for encouraging

Re: software that uses the key input?
https://james.ahlstrom.name/quisk/ Depends how fast you can send CW! OK up to 25wpm here. Over that I would use a hardware sidetone. HTH 73 Nick

software that uses the key input?
Is there any software, other than Rocky, that uses the key input on an Ensemble RXTX? As a bonus, is the latency low enough to use it with a side-tone? Seems like everything I've seen so far

Re: RXTX Low Pass Filter
Good Morning Paul, The parts for the external 40m LP filter are provided to supplement the LP filter that is on the RXTX board so that the 40m spurious output meets the FCC requirement of -43dB,

Excellent. Just the information I was looking for. Thanks very much.

Re: RXTX Low Pass Filter
Paul, I have the same version. The harmonics are sufficiently down on 30 and 20 but it was recommended to use an external LPF on 40 as the harmonics appear on 20. Myself, I never used a 40 LPF but

RXTX Low Pass Filter
I'm interested in the 40, 30, 20m version but wondering about the low pass filter. Is one required for each band? I think the kit comes with parts for one filter? Would these filters be usable if I

Re: Fancy Sound Card
Jerry, Looks like it ought to work. Have you enabled the "microphone" in Windows security? 73 Alan G4ZFQ

Fancy Sound Card
All, I just indulged in a highly rated 192kHz USB sound adapter. It's a Behringer "U-Phoria" UMC202HD. For use with the Softrock, I had to get a couple of mini-stereo-phone-plug to two 1/4inch

Re: Packaging
Hi, new to the group. What USB sound card were you planning to use? All I have is my Win7 laptop or a RasPi3B so PCI-E compatibility is non-existent

Re: Teensy SDR
Presumably you will have found the time to do a search. If not then it seems to be basically an interface replacing a computer. It seems any SDR can be used but does not look a simple job. 73 Alan
