Re: Looking for dual (or multiple) coherent SDR - softrock implementation? terminology?

You might look at the KerberosSDR it has the equivalent of 4 SDR sticks
running coherently linked to a single USB port that will connect to
raspberry pi or other linux computer. The designers have videos posted
using it to do radio location.

Sorry if my terminology is not clear - hopefully someone here can set me
straight!

I'm searching for SDR software/hardware that can accept two (or more)
separate antenna inputs simultaneously, each clocked with the same source
(so the two or more antenna inputs are detected coherently), render each to
I/Q, and then process/demodulate the two or more I/Q streams so that the
signals can be correlated. Not sure where to start looking, so thought I'd
start here as Softrock was my first SDR long ago.

Goal in any event is to receive the same section of spectrum using two
different (but nearby) antennas, and favor signals that appear in
frequency/phase at both antennas.

Thanks,

Dave

Re: Looking for dual (or multiple) coherent SDR - softrock implementation? terminology?

Thanks, Alan - I *knew* something was missing from my post!!!

My work is in the low ham bands - primarily 470 kHz to 7.3 MHz working range.

The links offered in this thread are very much appreciated!

Dave

You do not say what frequencies you are wanting.

The cheap RTL dongles are incorporated in several receivers. ,are%20running%20from%20a%20single%20clock%20source%20(coherent).

Scroll down there are links to seveeal.

Re: Looking for dual (or multiple) coherent SDR - softrock implementation? terminology?

This is not a SoftRock style, but a direct sampling receiver. It offers two channels and it is likely the cheapest option around. I believe LinRad samples both channels and it offers diversity reception and automatic phasing.

Re: Looking for dual (or multiple) coherent SDR - softrock implementation? terminology?

Hi Dave,
Again, different platform, receive only is the SDRPLAY DUO it has 2 separate receivers. And the software SDRUNO that can do this type of correlation.

and
You can see SDRUNO here.

Hope this helps

Re: Looking for dual (or multiple) coherent SDR - softrock implementation? terminology?

It's a different hardware platform, but there is active work on a 2 antenna
setup.

Check out the thread and the Hermes-Lite 2 hardware.

This item is sold.

SoftRock RXTX Ensemble Transceiver Kit w/KM5H Case For Sale

I have a SoftRock RXTX Ensemble Transceiver Kit that I purchased several years ago along with a KM5H Case.
The Power Supply and USB Power Supply sections have been completed. However, work related projects and travel
intervened and I never got back to completing this. I have since moved on to another SDR solution and
other interest so I no longer have a need for this kit. I have built several Steve Weber ATS kits which are all surface
mounted components so I believe the work that's done here should be acceptable to the buyer concerned with a kit that's
been started. I can provide pictures if necessary. Let me know if interested, PayPal preferred.

$115.00 shipped, Continental US only.

Thanks,
Alan / NX4J

No problem Dave. Hope you find a RXTX. Dan

I have an unassembled Softrock RXTX with a KM5H case. Contact me privately at w8lm at arrl dot net. you would be able to select your bands of interest.

Re: For Sale: SoftRock RX Ensemble II HF Receiver with KM5H case

Hi Dan I thought it was a RXTX so I am not interested, sorry. Thanks Dave
