Re: SR Lite v6.2 PCB

Christopher,
I used the picture off the back of the board from stage 3 of the assembly instructions( divider)
Scaling from the chip pad spacing with 8 pads I get board width 2.99 inch in the dimension where I can measure it well, and 3.03 inch in the dimension where there are only 4 pads and the photo may be a little tilted.
At this stage of assembly the pictures show most of the traces.

Hello Christopher,
Sorry, check the link at the end. That goes to the original home page that has the complete build notes.

Skins for PowerSDR 1.19.3.15

Hi all.
Looking for the skins for psdr they appear to not available any where or not able to be downloaded
Just want get my MOBO board back in use.
Tried PowerSDR v2.4.4 which thought was what I use to use.

But will persevere to see what can be done.

Re: SoftRock Lite v6 40m Board

You might check PCBshopper for competitive prices. Just put in your board size and qty of 3 (OSHpark sends 3 bds, and the others will default to 5) Bump the shipping time to longest time for cheapest cost. Last 5 boards I ordered were $4.35 shipped (JLCpcb). OSHpark is $5 a square inch, so they can be the best deals for very small projects. No need to pay those high shipping costs.

Re: SoftRock Lite v6 40m Board

Christopher,
I cloned the Lite board in the Diptrace PCB layout system.
Diptrace is free for small boards.
If you send me an email address, I can send either the Diptrace file or a Gerber file. ( maybe both)
I get boards done very cheaply with either PCBGoGo or a similar company if the boards are 100 mm x 100 mm or less. ( 4 inches by 4 inches will not do)
The problem is that shipping for e.g. 5 boards is around $30.
I don't know if I have any boards left- I was doing a lot of mods for a project. I will look.
I ordered most of the parts for the Lite on ebay, getting maybe 10 of each, except the crystal, and maybe got the toroids from a small company I can't remember offhand.

David Underwood

Hi Dennis, I would love to get the RxTx up and running. I built one for 17m when I was first licensed - before I knew anything about which bands to operate. My local club holds QRP Saturday when the weather permits, once a month. I'm a retired HW/SW engineer who started out as a bench tech. I have lots of low-level troubleshooting. I'll send you a separate email as well.

Hi Dennis.
I gave the last one a home ( its owner). I can fix this. And send it back
to you if you like. I don’t have any more cases though.
I will send this note to you. I will pay the shipping. If you don’t want
it I will give it a new home.

I had started this kit pre-pandemic and got to stage 5 RFI 10 when my voltage checks failed. In spite of much help from this group and others, I could not correct the problem and the partially built kit and parts are taking up room in the shack. I will not return to it. I am happy to pack it up and ship it to someone with more expertise and drive to turn it into a radio they will use. The recipient can send me back the postage or not. W7ESE jrutle@...

Are you following Robby's pages ? If so I am assuming that is as far as you have got.
At that stage the Si570 signal will not be very strong unless you bring an antenna wire close to it.

I'm not sure if the CFGSDR green CW lights change at this stage of construction.

Are you running the pa test ? Did you watch the HamNation 82 test that was
done, its in the latter half of the episode. ? They had a similar problem
it was incorrectly installed T3 , the orientation of the secondary
windings matters, incorrect phasing of the windings will result in reduced
output .
