Re: Move to groups.io (was: Re: Files)
Can somebody please tell me what Groups.io is, why we have to move to it, whatever it is, and if I want to stay with this group what I have to do (and how do I do it) to make the change? I am sorry

Re: Move to groups.io

Could I suggest we start a poll to determine the level of support or otherwise? Cheers David

Re: Move to groups.io (was: Re: Files)
Skip, No. All the existing photos can stay on Yahoo. Duplicates can be made on io as part of setting up an io account if the owner desires. Such duplicates can be automatically resized in the process.

Re: Move to groups.io (was: Re: Files)
Would transferring the group without photos, locking it down and then slowly transferring the files as time and Yahoops allow be an option...into multiple groups like we have here at Yahoo?

Re: Move to groups.io (was: Re: Files)
Aren't there other places to put the photos? I know there are some free sites on the net, or used to be, anyway. Would we HAVE to use "IO" for the pics? Skip Luke

Bruce I believe that the photo¡¯s are automatically reduced by the groups.io transfer program. Or at least that is what has been said on other groups that made the transfer. This is a quote from

Re: Move to groups.io (was: Re: Files)
One problem with a potential transfer is the size of the photos section on the main yahoops group exceeds the new combined? limit of 1 GB for files and photos on groups.io.? If a move is to be made

I assume no move has been made due to the fact that I have seen no notification of such a move.

True, but go read the new privacy policy on Yahoo and then read the one on groups.io.

Did this move ever occur? I've read the new Yahoo privacy policy and it sounds like Facebook! I'm leaving Yahoo. Several of my groups have migrated to groups.io and all appear to be working fine.
