Welcome to the group. I also fit your category of being in and out of it for about 25 years. Since I've retired this past January, I've started taking a more active interest in the hobby. I haven't a layout, yet, as I'm taking my time to think about what I really want to get out of it. I know myself well enough to know that building is, to me, more fun than actually running the trains, so I'll certainly have a continuous loop somewhere in the plan. I'll probably put enough staging, etc. into it to give operation a try. An interurban line used to pass directly in front of our house (of course, the house wasn't there at the time) so I've gotten interested in modeling that line with a twist - it survived into the fifties and gave trackage rights to some of the railroads. That way, I can also have steam and early diesels. -- Carol & Jerry Jankura Strongsville, Ohio So many toys, so little time -----Original Message-----

Subject: [small-layout-design] another new member Hi group: I'm another new member who's been in and out of model railroading for 25 years or so. Currently trying to put together an HO-HOn3 layout for a 3-0 by 12-0 space that will give me some continuous running and western scenery. Having all kinds of trouble and maybe I'm trying to get more than I can handle(old old problem, isn't it). Anyway I'll probably lurk for a while and try and pick up some ideas and see what's gone previously before jumping in. But looking forward to being part of the group. Thanks.
