Friends, I’m writing to see if any of you would like to occasionally host Sacred Space online or lead a meditation. My thought is that we could create a collective Sacred Space online with what I have started during COViD, build your respective communities, and then after COVID, you would all have a base of people to help you continue meeting live in your local area if you are still interested in that. Right now, we’re meeting every other Sunday at 1pm PT/4pm ET for about 45 minutes. Our next gathering is July 26th if you’d like to attend on Zoom and get a sense of what I’m inviting you into. For now, it would help me plan accordingly if you could let me know any interest you have in pursuing this collaboration so if you don’t mind, could you please email me a response at your earliest convenience? The time is now to check into our own hearts and find the strength to face ourselves, to heal, to help. Every day we must ground our bodies and spirit, feeling the blessings and support of Mother Earth, providing us the courage, the humility and the power to move ahead to create and to serve our global family. One of the best ways to do this is by opening our hearts with the Tibetan Practice of Loving Kindness (Tonglen). In this practice we will bear witness and receive the pain and suffering of our global community and give back to ourselves and our world our own friendliness, our own joy, our own love and kindness. Music by Michelle Angel of The Art of Gong Michael Pellegrino Michael has always been curious by what it means to be alive. From an early age he studied and explored many of the world’s spiritual traditions. He was brought up in the Catholic faith but by his late teens he had replaced it with yoga and other eastern philosophies. By his mid-forties Michael had fully immersed himself in mindfulness practice and Adviata Vedanta, the latter emphasizing that life cannot be separated out, analyzed or divided up and that there is no individualized self. In recent years Michael has also found great solace and significance within the devotional depth and beauty of the Sufi and Christian mystical practices. Sacred holding and centering prayer are a big part of his daily practice now. Michael is an artist, a Spiritual Director and a holistic Manual therapist, practicing Rolfing, Craniosacral Therapy and structural energetics. He also teaches mindfulness, yoga and postural fitness.
