Victor Shamas Leads Us in Practice: "Inspired by Nature" When spirituality meets environmentalism, you can have an experience that transcends both. This is the path of nature inspiration. In his three-decade study of creative inspiration, University of Arizona psychologist Dr. Victor Shamas uncovered a form of inspiration that connects you to nature in the most profoundly fulfilling way possible. He maintains that this connection offers important answers to serious global problems like climate change and pandemics. Today, he will guide you on an experiential journey into the heart of nature inspiration. Please be prepared to lie down when guided on a comfortable surface (floor, mat, bed, sandy beach) where you can extend your arms and legs. Also, please have a natural flavor (e.g., fresh or dried fruit) and scent (e.g., fresh flowers or an essential oil) close at hand.

Dr. Victor Shamas Dr. Victor Shamas is a psychologist, author, and founder of NATURE AM I (), a global leadership alliance committed to finding nature-inspired solutions to the world’s most urgent problems. His research on creative inspiration is detailed in his 2018 book, Deep Creativity: Inside the Creative Mystery, and his recent TEDx talk, “The Art of Creative Inspiration” (). He is also the author of?Repose: The Potent Pause?and?The Way of Play, as well as the founder of Global Chant, which now has a virtual chant circle on Zoom every Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Arizona time.

Music by Cliff Berrien ? Cliff Berrien has over 40 years of experience as a drummer & percussionist, DJ and music educator. He has used his degree in psychology, in which he focused on studying cultural expressions of collective joy, in transformative ways to develop creativity, cultural dexterity and contemplative practice. Cliff combines his interest in the diversity of the world's music and contemplative practices with a passion for building compassionate community as a member of the Center for Action and Contemplation Program Design team. Cliff and his wife Danielle were?early supporters and are honored to serve as board members for Sacred Space.
