LOL, that was the back view?? Thank you for setting me straight.? Now I can see it.? It looked like a straight on front view to me. If you look at the picture again, maybe you can see what I thought I was looking at.? But even in this pic one can see the buffy stripe on the crown, the black tail and the white in the forewing.? I may be wrong on this id, but generally 3 fieldmarks are good enough to id a bird.

I'm really ignorant when it come to identifying birds. But the one you listed as an American Wigeon doesn't look like a waterfowl bird. Must be the angle??
