That dark crown eliminates American Bittern. Based on the pictures that is
a 2021 model Green Heron. There are a lot of them along Babel Slough. That
area doesn't support the extensive marshes

What a lucky coincidence. Great pictures under the circumstances. Skunks
seem to be taking a beating. Didn't know they were so vulnerable to bird
