Nancy, the Black-Headed Grosbeaks are migrating through now so that is probably what you saw.? They do visit feeders.? Tom Cadle

Subject: [sacramento-birds] QUESTION

?

Hi Everyone-

?

I saw a bird today at my ground feeder with a reddish orange breast and the wings were black with white running through them.? I'm not an expert birder like most of you so I wonder if anyone knows what bird this is.? Unfortunately I didn't have my camera handy.? I've never seen it before and mostly just get white crowned sparrows, dark eyed junkos, scrub jays and mourning doves at the feeder so I was surprised and happy to see him or her.

?

Thanks in advance!

Nancy
