Good News In My Part Of The Country
Finally, we are enjoying some rain. From last evening and throughout today, we have had a slow, steady rain, the kind that soaks in and really does some good. Rain gauge on my back fence shows just a shade over half an inch and we have about two more days showing rain in the forecast. Thank you, Lord, for this much needed moisture! John T. No body home?
Since Spring has sprung, I guess everyone has headed out on some adventure or another. Personally, I'm just working my way through getting all the danged leaves picked up or mowed over and then bagged. With all the high winds we have been having lately, I think I am picking up a lot of my neighbor's leaves as well as. On a good note, I have noticed that the mesquite trees around here are leafing out so no more cold winter days. Now, for some of those April showers... Anyway, hopefully everyone is doing well or at least the best they can. I thought I had lost another two pounds the other morning but then, I raised up my tee shirt and there they were, hiding in plain sight. Let's hear from everyone... John T. New Store Coming
I saw in the latest Murdoch's flyer that San Angelo will be getting a store in the near future. I enjoy browsing through the one up the road a piece. I can always find some of those things I really don't need but would like to have, you know, just in case. John T. Herman 210-396-1974 Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Mary Ann, I feel for you in your recovery from knee replacement. I've had many surgeries over the years,? but I think the TKR recovery took the longest and was the most painful of all my surgeries. You sound like you have a good handle on it, though, and determination makes a big difference. Best wishes in your recovery! Isn't that ice machine great! Used it on 2 knee surgeries (not replacements) and my shoulder replacement.

As for daylight savings, we traveled to Bismarck, AR early? Saturday for a "Baby Q". Granddaughter Tabatha's baby shower/bbq party. She's due in May with a boy. After a week of getting up early for various reasons, we slept in Sunday morning and took a leisurely, rainy backroads trip home. We didn't notice the time change but we knew about it.

Sleepy Heads
Well, how many sleepy heads either forgot to set their clocks or just didn't get up in time to get to church? I really didn't like losing that hour of sleep but I did make it to church and, thankfully, there was plenty of coffee to sip before the service. Now, if there had been some big Cheerios, you know, donuts, it would have been great. Big Cheerios just sounds healthier. John T. Herman 210-396-1974 Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Yesterday I went to the DPS DL Mega Center in San Antonio to get my driver license renewed.
All went well and I got a paper with my picture on it to use until my "real" license gets mailed to me.
I think they made a mistake on the photo though, it is of a really old man with a lot of grey hair.
I'll have to see what they put on my license.
