Wow! I'm sure glad that you are doing better.
When I talked with her on Thursday, she was very positive and ready to get started with the rehab.
Hopefully she will get through this with minimal pain though I know it will be a long road from here.

Got back to San Angelo this morning and tomorrow my nephew and I will go up to Abilene to Hendrick North Hospital to visit with my sister.
She went to the ER with pain in her abdomen and was admitted and a day or two later, she was operated on to remove part of her bowel that was dead. The doctor told her later that he had saved her life because if she had waited one more day to come in, she would have died. That is just too scary to think about.
We will be coming back to San Angelo tomorrow afternoon/evening and then I will go home on Friday.
One nice thing about the drive to San Angelo was getting to see all the wild flowers along the way. I could be a bit prejudiced but I did think they got prettier the closer I got to my old home town.

John, although time seemed to stand still for us for so many years, it has appeared to leap forward!?
This makes me even more grateful for this ¡°life line¡± that was created a bit more than 20(!) years ago with the yahoo group!!!!! What a feat of collecting together classmates from high school that are spread all over! Yet by the aid of the internet and Marlin Roberts, we were able to connect and communicate with members of our class who we may never have known ¡°back in the day.¡±

?We became really good friends and looked forward to hear what was going on with each other. So much joy and excitement over the coming reunion (40) and reconnecting became a daily visit to Yahoo. It grew even more after that reunion. Thanks to Tim Moorman to taking over the group for Marvin and even establishing this group after Yahoo was no longer.?
I certainly am looking forward to the October event. Just seeing as many of you as possible that can be there will be a delight! Thanks to each one still posting.?

Hopefully we can stay in touch more closely so we can stay as much like family as well as classmates. Only about four weeks until we hit the actual 60 year mark of our graduation. Dang, are we getting old or what????

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Mary Ann, I'm so sorry for your loss of Phil. May God continue to be with you and be of comfort to you and your family.??

It took me a bit to find the obituary, but for others who may have missed this sad news:

View ELLIS PHILLIP COUCH's obituary, send flowers and sign the guestbook.

Take care, and I wish a blessed Easter to all!

?
I am doing well, and I have had daughter Kelly visiting pretty often.? She left yesterday, in fact.? I am looking forward to a "girls' trip " to Texas in April and a trip to Colorado in May to attend grandsons' end of year programs.? I have been pretty busy planning the Memorial Service for Phil.? It is April 20.? He requested it be far enough off in the future to make travel plans easy for relatives.? I have tried to make the program reflect his likes and wishes.

We are having the usual springtime flowering trees (I love the redbuds and dogwoods!) and bulbs.? I hope there will still be some bluebonnets to enjoy when I am in Texas.? Easter week will be lovely with special services and music.? Lots to be thankful for!

Looking forward to seeing lots of you in October.?

do I think that it helps in the process? ? YES. ? ? ?Would I recommend the program? ? YES
