Nice lawn BTW.

No, it wasn't one of the grandkids stocking up their dormitory room with towels.
Sandy usually keeps a towel out on the chair on the back porch to wipe down the dog when she goes out and the grass is wet. The towel was on the chair until this towel thief came along and tried to abscond with it.
Since squirrels usually have two litters a year, I imagine this one is looking to build a nest and thought the towel would come in right handy.
As you can see in the third photo, the towel made it all the way up the tree to a limb about ten feet off the ground. I did thwart the little thief's efforts by retrieving the towel from the tree limb.
If you look close at the third photo, you can see the squirrel flat out on the limb by the towel.
Yes, from now on, we will be keeping the towels inside.

What a gift of looking at the full moon and remembering The ‘64 crew and others from SACHS and events since then…..especially since 2004 and following. ?The reunions and all celebrations with former classmates has brought much life to our years. Just wanted to wish all of you to have a great week.
I looked at my calendar and there are a lot of open spaces but, the other day when I was doing nothing, I ran out of time so I still have a lot of that to catch up on.
You know how it is, just because I'm doing nothing, it doesn't mean I want to do something. Seems as how I usually wind up doing something I had not really planned on doing so I don't get to use up all my doing nothing time.
Anyway, hope all of you have a great week. (And, let's hear from you if you are doing nothing or something.)

Great Trip

Had a great trip to San Angelo last weekend and really enjoyed the Family Summer Gathering out in Water Valley.
Visiting with family is always great and when you come from a family of really great cooks, well, you can't help but sample "just a little bit" of everything offered.
Even got to experience a short downpour on Sunday morning while I was trying to get the truck loaded.
All in all, a great weekend.

We have had so much rain and bad weather that I am reluctant to make travel plans.

By the way, Ron Perry has a birthday on Friday after meeting. I always remember his bc that is my daughter's birthday, too.
