I empathize with you and anybody suffering loss and anything else
with age at the center of it. I don't have anybody close left to
lose, but I landed in the emergency room again Thursday morning
after running a fever the night before and waking up with chest
pain, a sign of pneumonia, and docs had told me to get to the ER
when that happens with my one lung. It's happened twice before,
and it's really scary being alone. It was just a raging case of
acid reflux, but I fell without realizing it before I called the
ambulance and gave myself a bloody nose. Fighting an inclination
to turn into a recluse shrinking into a shell. Your issue is
grief, but it's not unrelated.
We have to work through these things by stages; trying to do it
too quick will result in a fake cure that will fail. I think the
solution is gradual total absorption into agape love, which Jesus
introduced for the very first time. It will bring the gradual
erasure of all fear of anything and consequent new blossoming of
life.

It's hard, Sharon. I didn't go what you're going through but I kinda know bc I have been widowed twice.? Half of you is gone and you are grieving for his loss and your loss (all the memories good and bad that you shared with him). One day at a time, one footstep at a time, it will get a little easier.
