Robert, that is what we saw here in North Richland Hills but my phone did not take great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Really a magnificent shot! Looks like an eye in the sky--your
exposure was just right. My view of the corona was nowhere near
that spectacular. And the leaves and clouds elevate the whole
thing to BIG wall-hanging material.

Here was my shot of the eclipse totality from my backyard in
Grapevine. We were very fortunate that the clouds were thin and
there were plenty of breaks in the cloud cover. It was truly a
fantastic sight!?

Mine was also a disappointment?

?
Fun adventure!??
We also got dark enough for streetlights, etc.
to come on, but it was like dusk here - not very
dark.
Attached
is photo from my eclipse adventure.

Since we had such
cloud cover yesterday during the
eclipse, when I got up this
morning, I thought the eclipse had
returned.
As it turned out, it
was just more cloud cover but we
did get a very brief rain shower.
For
our eclipse adventure
yesterday, I went out on the
back porch and saw that it had
gotten dark enough that all of
the solar lights on the fence
had turned on.
After
that excitement, I went back
in and watched it on TV.
