Officially service-connected disabled now, 60 percent, with
license plates and other perks, so now I'm a disabled vet instead
of just an old bum. But still getting around without needing
mechanical assistance to breathe or walk. Thinking today of the
"veterans" who long ago lost the ability to breathe or walk with
or without assistance. Grateful to them and to the Lord. And y'all
are in my thoughts as you gather next week. I'll dig out my
yearbook.
