Does anyone have a northcomm quantar ecm?
Anyone have one they are not using that they would sell cheap along with the program cable? I also have a ics quantar pi zero for sale. It's new. I want to go a hardware route vs pi zero route. I just need remote disable and courtesy beep. The northcomm will fill that bill just fine. I'm not a pi expert and can't get the ics configured properly. 19 inch rack mount AC power strip

Hi, me again! Lol. Does anyone have a power strip that is 19 inch rackmount with about 8 to 10 outlets which is AC with surge protector? I have one but it came with the rack that I bought in the switch got destroyed so looking to get one to replace it. Don't know what happened to the switch, but it wouldn't even move. Thought there was a cover over the switch is what someone told me, but I got the piece out and ended up being the switch with wires coming out of the back. I have what appears to be a Stationmaster type VHF antenna available. It shows a -20dB return loss at 152 MHz., so it's not cut for the ham band. The return loss at 146 MHz. is only~ -6dB. The extrior of the fiberglass is obvisouly weathered along the entire 23' length but not "feathered". I'd want to apply a new outer coat of protective paint or resin before putting it into service. Other than that, it seems to be in good mechanical condition. I think I have the radials for it somewere in my stash of too much stuff. I don't know if it can be modified for ham radio use or if someone on the list would have a use for it as is. Open to offers; would rather it go to somone who can use it than scrap it for the copper and brass. It's near Nashville, TN. Please email me directly, I don't read the list traffic. Kenwood TKR-820 UHF

Weird one for the experts... I have a TKR-820 that has been running for YEARS. And before I got it, it was running for years!!! After about of month of running (summer/winter no difference), it kicks off. When I reset the power switch, it flashes red briefly and goes out. If I leave it off overnight, I can come back in the morning, turn it on and work for another month... Really???? How does one trouble shoot this???

I will start out by saying this is the second gm300 to do this to me. I use it as a repeater receiver. Does very well for what it is. The unfiltered rx audio from the gm300 feeds a masters SC50 micor squelch/PL board then from there it goes to the rlc controller. The actual receive in the radio still works but that pin on the rear will not pass any audio. When the repeater is keyed it is just a dead key. Can¡¯t give the controller any commands either¡ when this happened the last time I just put in a new GM 300 and problem was solved. They were each in service about a year and a half before this happened. Has anyone experienced the same issue? I have the previous gm300 here with me, but I have not done any digging to see what has failed. The one that¡¯s on the repeater now is still up there till I can find time to go up there and swap it out with something else or get to the bottom of this.. any help is appreciated.

Hello members, I have an old R2660A (IDEN option) that I replaced all the 33uf electrolytics caps on Interface board ( each one had leaked). Luckily no major damage that didn't clean up. This fixed the alarming of the "excessive power to internal load alarm". I also replaced the memory battery as well. It goes through all calibrations successfully. Everything seams to be working ok except I'm seeing all kinds of internal signals in spectrum analyzer mode (no antenna connected). It does receive signals normally when connected to an antenna. Does anyone know what might be causing this? More bad electrolytics on another board....or? I pull the spectrum card and receiver card and check the electrolytics on those and they were fine. It what quite a job replacing all those things too i must say... Thanks in advance Randy

Hi everyone, I just installed a small DC fan to cool my Link radio and notice when echo Link is active I get a wine on the signal going into the controller for my echo link. Don't get this when repeater is transmiting on its own. Any good filter recommendations to eliminate this out? Got a TKR-850 that was abandoned at a tower site.. powers on and transmits fine (can transmit using CW ID button and getting 25w output) but receive appears deaf, Busy light is staying on and can't key it up with any amount of power. Tried both ham and GMRS frequencies, both exhibit the same behavior. Checked all the usual settings and can't get it to go away. Any ideas of anything else to check before I say she's dead and just plan on using a mobile for receive? Mike

Andrew DB201 Antenna

I've been tasked by our Red Cross regional director to get a 47 MHz antenna installed for "low band" VHF use on one of their buildings. It seems to be a difficult band to find commercial antennas for, but the Red Cross is still quite active on the band. I'm looking at the Andrew DB201-L. But everything I find about it is years old and I'm having trouble finding a source to purchase one. Is it still manufactured? And if so, where can I purchase one? If not, is there a newer/better alternative before we just build a ground plane antenna (I'd rather not have to, to be honest). I know this isn't strictly repeater related, but I've found other topics on this specific antenna in this forum (although quite old). Thanks! 73, Marlo KA2IRQ

Motorola SLR5700 DMR Repeater

My Motorola SLR5700 repeater goes into transmit every minute and does a 5 second data burst. Here are the settings I have in my repeater, I never recall having this problem in the past. Are my settings wrong? Any help is appreciated. We are on Brandmeister Server Master 3102. The repeater is currently on test bench in a dummy load. Beacon duration 4320, beacon interval 60 Or perhaps there is a different setting I should be paying attention to? Thanks, Joe N4ADI

Motorola gp340 as echolink node

I have a couple of Motorola gp340 laying around and I wanted to make echolink node using rpi 2 and these gp340. After programming ( it was story for another topic) I wanted to connected it with rpi but I cannot find where is the ptt pin on 13 pin connector. Is there someone who can help me with schematic how to connect mic and put. It really poorly informations on the internet... I found that the ptt is supposed to connect ito the pin 5 (option select 2 pin) but voltage on that pin is 3.2V, as on pin 6 (option select 1). Any information would be appreciated. Difficulty Programming a Maxtrac 300, 32 Channel

New to the group and hope you guys can help out in this. I had a real old laptop an Inpiron 3200 that took a crap and it had the RSS software on it. Fortunately, I had made a copy of the RSS on my other computer and I am able to run it in DOSBox but cannot communicate with the rig. The computer I am using only has a USB connector to which I plugged in a USB to serial cable, this went to my RIB box and from there onto the rig. However, communicating with the rig fails. I was wondering if the 300 has a specific Com port and baud rate settings that I could change on this computer to get communication moving along. Thanks, Bill K2WH
