Manual CDM Low-Band 8
Hi to All, I just bought a nice Motorola CDM-1250 Low-Band modified for 6 Meter Ham Band. But I am looking for the Service manual and I can only find the manual for VHF and UHF. The radio does work and turn on by the ignition accessories plug pin but I have some problem with the control head. No ON-Off button function, no Lights for the display, no RX-TX light, no Lightening of the DTMF Mike. And I have some question on the output power specs of this radio, it is set to 65 Watts in CPS put putting out 90 W on my Bird Bench Wattmeter? My Model is : AAM25DKD9AA2AN I am hoping that a member as seen this control heads problem before and somebody as the proper manual for this radio. Or at least the model number info to know what is the normal output power of this radio? Thanks¡¯ to all for looking in their electronic document file. Best 73 Carl VA2CMB

Tuning Rod for Wacom WP-643 8
Good evening, I was recently asked to tune a Wacom WP-643 duplexer. I was having a hard time getting the pass set on one side; I couldn¡¯t seem to manage to tighten the locknut without the tuning rod turning. None of the other cavities gave me any unusual problems. I finally figured out that the Invar tuning rod had been bent slightly and it was making the threads bind. I finally managed to get it tightened to the sweet spot and all is right with the world. But it got me wondering about replacement rods. I know Wacom is gone, but has anyone sourced tuning rods for Wacom duplexers? I assume the rod attaches to a plunger similar to the DB4060 (I¡¯ve never had a Wacom duplexer apart), so even if a new rod was available, the old rod would have to unscrew down through the top of the cavity rather than out the top. That would probably be difficult given the bend in the rod, but I assume I could screw the rod up beyond the bend, cut it, and then screw it back down and out the bottom. At any rate, this is mostly an academic exercise since I did manage to get the pass set properly. Thanks for your thoughts. 73, Mike WM4B

In search of dB4060 -005 coupling loops or assemblies 8
Kevin has given me a lot of help tuning the overpainted and unknown dB4060 diplexer. It is smelling a lot like they are not the ham band model. If anyone has up to date contact info on the firm called duplexerrepair.com I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone has extra -005 coupling assemblies, please let me know, off list. DB4060 Series Dfor a 4-cuplexer Cans 7
Wrong. The loops are different between high-pass and low-pass. And, the loops are different depending on bandsplit. If you don't have the right loops, or are using the loops for the wrong response (high-pass versus low-pass) you probably won't even make rated space for notch depth. If they are correct for the bandsplit and pass response you'll get 85 dB for a 4-cavity DB4060. --- Jeff WN3A

KSG-4500
I procured a Kenwood KSG-4500 repeater. I think it may have a narrowband kit installed. What should I look for internally to check? I see references online to the Z-kit but not to the installation instructions. This unit seems to use some common componment to the TKR-820.

Swap: Ics controllers quantar 1x for a northcomm quantar ecm. 10
Looking to swap a brand new ics control quantar 1x for the northcomm quantar ecm and program cable. I'm looking for a more simple plug and play solution than something I need to jump through all sorts of gyration to get up and running. And I don't need all the capabilities of the ics I just need remote disable, and courtesy beep. So the northcomm might be better for me and the ics might be suited to someone who has more patience than i do to set it up properly and needs the advanced functionality of the ics. I'm only using this on a gmrs repeater so I don't need a bunch of advanced features or digital linking. My understanding is the northcomm is just set wildcards in quantar and then 1 adjustment on the board that requires no test gear to set it up. Suffice to say I can't get courtesy beep or remote disable to function on my quantar with the ics and the ics is brand new. I got voice id'er to work fine so I'm sure it's a setting on the ics board. I'm just out of patience to screw with it. I want an overall plug and play unit. I will also sell the ics outright for what i paid for it in leu of a swap. Let me be clear it's not ics fault it's l something I'm not doing correctly and I don't have the eyesight or dexterity in my hands anymore to work with small stuff like this board. Wacom WP-678 Cable lengths 9
I am building a Duplexer for a GMRS repeater. I have a Wacom WP-678 that is missing the interconnect cables. I did a little search hoping I could find some documentation on the lengths for cutting new ones. 462/467 split. Anyone know these off the top of their head, or have a chart somewhere? DB4060 Series Duplexer Cans 8
I asked this question before, but the string got a little bit sidetracked. If I want to convert a DB4060 Series can that is currently set up for Pass Low / Block High to Pass High / Block Low, what is involved? Is it just a matter of changing the loop or is there more to it than that? Thanks! Jeff KC8VFN

RC-100 programming. 4
I've searched the existing topics without finding what I need. I have an RC-100 that's working well, but I'd like to disable the base station timeout. I have worked with the tones, but it's been a couple of years. Can anyone help with the tone sequence? Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Quality Programming Cable? 8
Hello, Before I order a cable to program a Icom IC-121S I'd be interested in folks opinion of the quality of BLUEMAX49ers.com prog. cables. I'd rather not mess with "Cheap" import cables. Most do not work! If I order from BLUEMAX49ers should I get the "FTDI" or "PROLIFIC" prog. cable? Also BLUEMAX has drivers listed if I require them. I don't mind spending approx. $35.00 for a quality cable. I just want it to work! Thanks for your input. Tim AE7TH

Kenwood D710 No audio on Aux port 4
I had a TKR 750 working on a RLC 3 Controller. I bought a New TKR D710 and hooked it up to the same cable and configured the D710 just about Identical to the TKR 750. If I let the Repeaters internal controller control the Repeater I get normal Audio out of the repeater but when I turn off the Repeat enable and let the RLC control it I get PTT on the D710 but no Audio just Carrier I also have TKR 850 on another Port it will key up but no Audio and if I talk into the TKR 850 it repeats fine out of it but the D710 Transmits but no Audio out. I have Aux In/Out 4 Set to Encode Signaling Enable, Aux Out 5 COR Active Low and Aux In/Out 6 TOR Active Low. Hi power VHF Micor stuff for FREE 2
I have available free for pickup three vhf Micor base stations. One of them has a 136-150mHz PA deck, that was working when last in service about ten years ago. There have been various parts robbed, but believe there is enough here that one complete repeater could be assembled. I believe there is a native 142-150mHz receiver as well. The collection comes with a set of NOS 8560 finals. Free for pickup in West Terre Haute, IN. You must take the entire lot. Contact me direct at k9hxATyahoo if interested. I do gave a few pictures, but the cabinets are against a wall, and are a little dirticult to move to get better shots. There are three loose HP power supplies, status unknown. Thanks and 73, Kevin, K9HX

WTB: GLB Model 414 transceiver power connector 4
Hi, I hope this isn't too far off topic, but there's lots of good GLB information on Repeater Builder, and I have discussed GLB synthesizers with other members of this group.... I found a GLB 414 two meter transceiver while doing a cleaning/dejunking of some shelves. I connected 12 volts to it and the radio actually works, and quite well! But I can't find any power cable for it. It uses a strange 5 pin DIN connector. If you have a connector that mates with the one on the back of the radio (picture attached) and want to part with it, I'm interested. Please contact me with a price including shipping. Thanks. Quantar chassis 6
Folks I had something odd here. I have three Quantars in service, all 100W, one UHF in 441 band, two 927 band. I had a PA fail on the 927 in Cedar Hill so for tight now I pulled the PA from the local Quantar here at the house and put it in Cedar Hill and that's all fine, 100W out. The 441 Quantar is here in the shack and easy to work on (its three feet away). So I popped out the UHF exciter and PA, installed a 900 exciter and one of my spare 900 PA's, reprogrammed the codeplug for 900 transmit, connected the 10 mhz out from my service monitor for external ref. All three PA's only would make 20 watts and all showed PA Fail and PA low. And to answer the first question, the PA out was connected directly to the Bird/load. Is there a difference between a UHF and 900 (or 800) chassis? I'm puzzled because when I popped one of these PAs into the 927 Quantar in the garage all was fine, no faults. Also in the uhf chassis they all showed just about zero reflected power. GeorgeC W2DB

Spectra Flat TX/RX Audio 2
All, On batlabs's spectra page it mentions that there is an option on the analog spectra to do flat tx/rx audio which I need for some data purposes, It also mentions that hte info is in the service manual (the version I have its not) Does anyone know what jumpers need to be changed inside the radio to get flat tx/rx audio to the rear connector on a dash-mount radio? I'd also potentially be interested in a uhf service manual if anyone has one that they'd part with that has that information in it. Thanks --Don KD7WKF
