Re: TKR-850 interfacing with a CM108 USB FOB Allstar/Echolink
I do have a question regarding the RX & TX audio though. If I'm using the TKR-850 to do the DCS decode /encode (I didn't think the Allstar software supported DCS, just PL Tones), then I assume I will

I got plenty of DB25's laying in the junk drawer from my terminal server days...its just trying to find the pin extractor to move the pins over that is the challenge

Re: Regulator - 12vdc to 5vdc for Raspberry Pi
This is way more money then it needs to be, and the power connector for the Pi is wrong. e-bay "powerconverter" has the correct PI connector and flying leads for input, half? (or less) the cost.

Re: Regulator - 12vdc to 5vdc for Raspberry Pi
I hate to be Captain Obvious, but Powerwerx has a product pre built with the correct connectors for both input and output for RaspberryPi and other items that take 5 volts.

In most cases you only use five pins ( maybe 6 )? in the 9 pin I use the? Masters Communications RA 42 in one of my projects, but he makes a number of them, from RA 25 ( the simplest ) to the RA

I would change "properly" to "reliably". I run KPG-29D inside DOSBox on my Win 8.1 system & it works flawlessly. OTOH KPG-29D on my old WinXP laptop will not talk to the radio correctly unless I

Re: Kenwood TK-760H VHF
The original KPG-4 used a DB-25 connector for the computer side. The back-shell contains the radio interface circuitry. Later Kenwood supplied cables did change to use the DB-9 connector for the

Yea, I'm thinking about putting the URI on a Kenwood, to play around with it, see how well it works. Do they make pre-made cables for the 850?

Re: TKR-850 interfacing with a CM108 USB FOB Allstar/Echolink
If you have the ability to wire to SMD devices and have the real FOB you can save some cash and do it yourself. Otherwise the URI is the way to go. Plug and play as far as the radio to Pie interface

Hey guys. Thinking about doing this with 1 of our repeaters. Should i use this sound fob, or use the Uri? What 1 would be easier? Cheers, Jed <jeremy_georges@...> wrote:

The Kenwood factory KPG-4 cable that I have used for the past 25+ years terminates in a DB-25 serial connection. If you have a factory cable you will need buy or build a DB-9 to DB-25 cable. As
