I’m more confused after reading your second post.? The link you provide below is to modify a Micor PL encoder so that it doesn’t send reverse burst.? It doesn’t cover what is required to install a PL encoder into a radio that has never had one before.? ? To add a PL encoder to a previously carrier-squelch exciter, you have to cut a jumper on the exciter in order for the PL encode board to take control of exciter keying voltage as it needs to be able to keep the exciter up longer than the incoming PTT for the duration of the reverse burst (whether or not you make the mods in the link you referred to are irrelevant in this regard).? I don’t remember what the jumper number is (i.e. JUxxx) on the exciter board, but it’s whatever jumper that goes between PL encoder board header pins 1 and 4. ? Also, depending on the vintage and/or split of the exciter board, you may have to install a jumper on the exciter board to route the encode PL tone to the audio amp/summing network that drives the varactors in the channel elements with the composite voice and PL tone. ? I’m on the road and don’t have access to my paper manuals so this is from memory (and distant memory at that).? You seem to be saying that you installed a decode board, but it doesn't
encode.? You do realize that decode and encode on a MICOR mobile
requires two vastly different boards?? If you actually installed an
encoder, but it's not encoding, is the reed vibrating? Do you see the PL
tone on the encode board with a scope?
Can you reference the modification you did (give the URL?)

i put one in it and did the mod to the board to bot key the exciter at all times. I must be missing a step somewhere because it will not transmit pl. receives pl just fine.

Schematic needed, Motorola NU-140 power supply
Greetings, I'm looking for a copy of the NU-140 power supply. This is the 110 AC supply used on the P series 5 Watt high band (10 Watt low band) P33 Handie Talkie.
I have the schematic of the later version (NPN6013A) but resistor values and capacitors don't match the supply I'm repairing.

Look into Victron Energy Smart Battery Protect 12/24v.? They have models rated at 60 to 200+ amps and are bluetooth app. programmable.? A 100A cutout costs roughly $75 usd.? They make diode isolators, chargers, inverters, monitor panels etc. for solar power systems and 12/24 v. mobile applications.? They sell thru amazon.com also.? You can easily kill significant time browsing their products!? Using two of their LV Disc. for two years for repeater battery protection.? Well made product.

Hi, does anyone have any good resources? Other than echo Link to help me set levels for box on a repeat running echo Link? I do it by trial and error because I've never found a good resource to help me set that correctly, people say I'm cutting out all the time and people coming through my link for Peter seem to cut out a lot. I am going to get a West mountain radio rig blaster plug-in play next week which will maybe help that problem. But in the meantime, does anyone have any settings? Suggestions for my echo link note?

Do you have just one Maxtrac that you want programmed??? or do you have a shelf, box, or storage room full of them ?? what band Maxtrac do you have?

You can always look for an older Panasonic Toughbook, they have a real DB9 comm port (com 1) along with a single usb port, load DOS 6.22 and then load the Maxtrac or Maxlab software, hook up the RIB box & Cable & have fun,

I use an IBM thinkpad model X20. ?
it’s a P3 with a real serial port. ?I don’t use moslo or anything for maxtrac or gm300. ?
These machines run XP and 2000 with no problems. ?I use separate partitions for windows and dos. ?My dos partition is loaded with MSDos 6. ?I select which partition to boot from the windows startup. ?
I can even run the most picky of x9000 rss. No problems.?
Buy an x20 series thinkpad. ? It’s TOTALLY worth it!
