On batlabs's spectra page it mentions that there is an option on the analog spectra to do flat tx/rx audio which I need for some data purposes,? It also mentions that hte info is in the service manual (the version I have its not) Does anyone know what jumpers need to be changed inside the radio to get flat tx/rx audio to the rear connector on a dash-mount radio?
I'd also potentially be interested in a uhf service manual if anyone has one that they'd part with that has that information in it.

I've searched the existing topics without finding what I need. I have an RC-100 that's working well, but I'd like to disable the base station timeout. I have worked with the tones, but it's been a couple of years. Can anyone help with the tone sequence? Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Same cable as used on the Midland Base Tech II and III stations, if that helps. They are rebadged KG510s.

That is correct. Fortunately, Kenwood did correct that oversight in their
new NXR-1000 series.
ALTHOUGH, I'm disappointed there are no options to be able to control
encoded CTCSS/DCS via external logic in teh NXR-1000 series, as could be
done with the TKRs and NXR-710 and 810

Correct me if I'm wrong (Ken??), but the D710 doesn't have the facilities for use with an external controller, specifically the audio I/O. I had a few of these and sold them for this very reason. They make great standalone/temporary machines, and the internal controller is reasonably capable.

A Quantar chassis is universal, you can put in any modules and it all works the same. I agree on checking the transmitter power alignment.?

I¡¯ll bet your 900 chassis has a high stability oscillator installed and your 800 doesn¡¯t? It creates trouble¡.

Hi power VHF Micor stuff for FREE
I have available free for pickup three vhf Micor base stations. One of them has a 136-150mHz PA deck, that was working when last in service about ten years ago. There have been various parts robbed, but believe there is enough here that one complete repeater could be assembled. I believe there is a native 142-150mHz receiver as well. Remember that radios of this vintage require an old, slow DOS computer, or the system won't talk properly.? I use a Compaq 386 "lunchbox" computer that is native DOS (and works just dandy on Desktracs), so I can't comment specifically on your setup, but make sure it's running slow.
The switch on the Desktrac selects whether you are programming (1) the main radio, (2) the repeater radio, or (3) the remote panel.?
As I recall, the procedure is to use the Maxtrac software to program the radios, then go back and use the special Desktrac software to finish up.
For what it's worth, Desktracs seem to all have their own firmware version (V5.36).
Also don't forget that if you are going out of the original frequency range, you will need the modified ham firmware or power out and deviation will be unpredictable.? Details on this are found in the Ham Friendly Firmware articles in the Maxtrac area here on Repeater-Builder, or you could email me.

I don't recall all the details, but the desktrac's were a pain in
the a.?
You probably need the progamming manual.?? As I recall, there is a
rotary switch that depending on which part of the desktrac you had
to select a portion of the unit.
i.e.? one position was to program the control head, one position was
to program the rf/radio, one position was to program the dc or tone
remote functions.???? All of this is from my memory of programming
units in the GM300/Radius conventional units 20 years ago or more.?

MTR-2000 losing it's memory/settings when powered down?
All,
Have a nice UHF MTR-2000 40w we are looking to use for 44 ham usage.
Starting from a clean default profile, it programs up perfectly and will operate perfectly.
But if powered down, TX audio & CW ID are way down, etc. It's like it's losing settings.
Reload the codeplug and it's back in business.
Test menu every thing works perfectly, including deviation.
I'm wondering if it's go an issue like the quantars with worn out non-volatile memory (EEPROM, E2PROM, or similar).
Anyone dealt with this before? Any suggestions appreciated. This repeater is otherwise very nice and hears extremely well.

Looking for a Secure Capable Station Control Board for a UHF 100w MSF 5000, had an SCR smoke. Was also dealing with some occasional noise on the TX.
