Re: Two UHF repeaters sharing the same antenna.
The Motorola sites engineer came up with the solution using only a BP duplexer on each repeater along with a dual stage isolator. A 3rd duplexer was not needed. Jim W7RY -- Thanks and 73, Jim W7RY

Re: Multiple repeaters sharing a common power supply - pros and cons

Re: GE MSTR 2 special (Factory Repeater?) FREE

Re: GE MSTR 2 special (Factory Repeater?) FREE
I have a couple of the Motorola factory MT-300 Repeaters. I have one of them that I was able to get the correct low-VHF split modules for, from an MX-340 hand-held radio, replacing the high-VHF split

This is a newly designed product? Could've fooled me, as I don't see a single surface mount component. Even when hand soldering I consider surface mount easier to work with than thru-hole. Bob NO6B

Re: Two UHF repeaters sharing the same antenna.

Re: Voter Systems
Everybody keeps talking about mods to the GE voter. E&M signalling is standard on them, even the old grey ones. So voter tone isn't needed if you have a relay closure or other good switching.

Our repeaters are all under a single radio club and everyone is a team player, so I don't anticipate any political issues.? I was nervous about sharing a single power system among multiple repeaters,

I have to sit down and figure out the per unit price, but I probably won't be able to compete with the price point once labor is factored in.
