Hi Guys:
I may have lucked out yesterday......I got an e-mail from
an ex-employee of a local 2-way shop. He heard that I have
a 6 meter repeater on the air (he's also a ham), and offered
the Sinclair version of a Db212-2 for my use!
Problem is, it's 400 feet higher than my present location.
Taking it down is not feasible, but getting a rigger to it
is.
Is it possible to put a "shorting bar" on each dipole
to bring it up to 53 Mhz, as it's presently on 43 Mhz.
Does it matter on which end the shorting bar is placed,
and about how much would have to be shorted?
Thanks for any and all help....
