Hi Tedd, the DB212-2 is two folded dipoles and takes up
about 30 to 35 feet of space vertically, don't remember the
exact spacing, although I can find it if you need it. A
harness is easy to make for these.
Have you tried using a single folded dipole (half of a
DB212-2), it has an almost omni-pattern, and doesn't need
any kind of harness or matching network, connect your RG-8
directly to it, just make sure it is mounted to a metallic
pole or tower leg that is at least as long as the dipole.
I used some old highway patrol DB212 dipoles that were
originally on 45.06mhz and shortened them, and used a MFJ259
to tune them individually.
