I programmed a MTR-2000 with my laptop running 32 bit Windows 7 and a USB --> RS-232 adapter.

Did you get a counterfeit??
Or is this on win xp?
Sometimes you can get this to work on Windows 10 but other than
that the
old radio software will not work on Windows 10 and definitely will
not work
on Windows 11 especially with all the damn security updates.
The two blue max 49 cables I got literally just worked on the win XP
machine dedicated for older radio programming.

Ordered one of these cables to get the Mtr to read and after
spending 3
hours of my life I will never get back cable refused to install.
anyone else have this issue where no matter what you do as an
experienced
computer user, not get the cable to install.
either it’s the language is wrong or just won’t work.
a
3 computers all windows 32 bit with a com port.
I tried making the cable myself and could not get the pin out
correctly
