Hi have a 8180 and the audio doesn’t sound as good as the 8302. That is my main complaint I suppose. ?

Chris WB5ITT ? Hi Chad, I have an 8360 that I use as a UHF base station radio in my shack. The CPS complains when I program "unsupported" frequencies, but so far I haven't had issue as long as I stay as high as possible. I haven't needed or tried to program in something like 432 mhz for example. The other issue I ran into with my 8360 is the wideband receive filter can go bad, making the radio deaf. Something to watch out for if you suddenly stop receiving audio. Good luck with your project!
