One of the 6 meter repeater groups in SoCal has all of the hardware mods figured out for moving the CDM1250 low band up to 54 MHz with no degradation but they don't want it put out on the net for an unknown reason which I didn't push them on since they provided me the mods in person during a visit last year.
?
while driving thru LA last summer I dropped by a hams QTH and we did the mod to my CDM1250 for 6 meters on the spot so the documentation was not supplied to me.
?
As mentioned I had my cdm1250 6 meter modified on site and it works across 39 to 54 MHz with minimal Sens loss and 70 watts output on all of 6 meters.
?
I use it for CHP receive and 6 meter use while driving thru SoCal from my Oregon QTH to My Prescott AZ Qth and the radio works very well.
?
I just picked up a HT1250 tlast fall and I used the waris Python code which we used on my CDM1250 mobile to get OOB up to 54 MHz on both of my radios.
?
My Ht1250 works all the way up to 54 MHz without any mods and any sensitivity losses and 6.5 watts output.
