Re: Dr 3000 /xpr8300 VHF no RX no Tx

Dr3000

First I would double check you have programmed correctly, if in doubt use the pre-defined example in the CPS and change frequency to suit your setup. Also I would advise starting with an analogue channel with no TPL tone.

You can then test with a radio, don’t forget to put a dummy load on TX if no antenna connected. If this works ok you should see the analogue tx led go on.

You can the proceed to use a digital channel and repeat test with a DMR radio.

The Dr3000 as rest after boot up should have power + analogue lit (for analogue channel) or power? + digital led lit for a digital channel.

?

If programmed with a mixed mode channel you will have power + analogue + digital leds lit. At no time in normal operation should you have the red disabled led on.

?

If you have the red on you have a fault. It may be a programming error or a firmware / hardware fault. You also need to check that all internal cables, connectors and ribbon connects are good.

?

Do you know the history of this DR3000 as to if it was working before.

?

A further point, although the RX and TX units look like DM3 series mobiles; they are not. The hardware and firmware is unique to the DR3000 and the TX and RX units are not interchangeable.

Hope this helps.
