VHF input with UHF MMDVM repeater

 

I have a 70cm MMDVM repeater based on 2 CDM1550 and repeater builder board.?
?
Local club have obtained some NXDN VHF. Pretty sure I know the answer, but is there a way to interface a VHF unit into existing system (simplex) or do I need to set up a simplex hotspot with another repeater builder board and pi ??
