problem is you will have conditions where you may hear traffic on
that same frequency.? As long as the repeater is far enough from you
and you are running either CTCSS or DCS you should not have a
problem. good thing to do is check out MyGMRS.com and see what is in
your area.? Remember GMRS repeaters are not coordinated so you can
have problems since there are limited repeater pairs.? I have a
problem with a repeater when band opens even thou he is on the same
frequency he has a different PL tone. so I do not get interference
with him.

I'm not sure that they have noticed. I didn't notice there was a
repeater there until just today, and I'm usually checking out what
traffic is there when I see traffic on that channel that is not
using my DPL tone (seeing the green light, hitting the squelch
release).. I can probably identify less/non-used channels by
monitoring for a while with the SDR, capturing the traffic 24/7 so
I can review it later after a week or so.
