My experience has been the new black panel power supplies are less reliable than the older grey panel ones.I have no comment on the difference in reliability between the old and new flavors as I don't remember having any failures. But I'll mention that I have a bunch (like, maybe ten) brand new black-version GE voter speaker/power supply units. So, if anyone needs one, I'm your guy...
