TrippLite products aren't any better as far as SLA "battery management" - just float-n-hope for that recurring revenue stream of replacement batteries or entire units.? ?
We know and can do better.
An aside - I was fortunate enough to be able to snag 36 100+ AH 'sealed' AGMs from a to-be-upgraded data center UPS (wish I could have gotten all 120 of them... but truck and backyard can only handle so much) - only 3-4 years of standby service, very few "wait for generator" cutovers.? The UPS BMS must have done a good job as all of them have been consistently 12.4-12.7 v open circuit sitting idle, all take a charge well, and the 'maintenance' shot to 14.4 or so.
Two of them now support 90% of my shack, charged/maintained by a Progressive RV 'smart' "charge controller".? I may add another two to the stack so I can run the ALS-500M off them as well.??
Eventually 2-4 of them will end up buffering gen-start delays for three repeaters at a commercial site - just need to get another smart charger.
