When I was still working, another engineer who had worked for ATT Cellular along with Harris helped us design our new stations and power requirements when we went narrowband. This is the formula I stay with it's tried and true and we have 100 of these setups accross 750 sq miles of territory. Strictly batteries being floated (12 and 24v supply) and connecting all power supplies together individualy fused. I will try to dig up a picture of one of the larger sites.
