PS This what I have right now. The repeater can receive a local RF D-STAR
transmission and pass it to the MMDVM.
Do you have "Disable repeat path" enabled? It needs to be enabled for it to operate as a duplex base rather than repeater. If you are able to select "External PTT" under audio priority, that tells me that you probably don't have "Disable repeat path" enabled.
Admittedly, I haven't tried interfacing an XPR8000 series to an external controller, but from what I remember, the Tx audio input on the MAP is disabled in all but test mode. If you strike out let me know and I'll put one on the bench to test.
