I came across a feller who has chip replacement to allow such programing in the ham bands. So the MaraTrac would not need hexedited. However, one still needs to retune the MaraTrac manually. RB's pages explain that real well as so does BatLabs.
It was on E-Bay.
I have MaraTrac for two meters and that chip works well.
I have about 80 modes programed for my area and the areas I frequent, as well a few PS freqs!
