¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI got mostly noise today and did not
catch the solar events. That is why it is so important to have
volunteers in as many places as possible and hope that somebody
catches the events.

Carl,
?
if you compare earlier of your spectrograms with today's, you can see that the noise level is increasing. Isn't it possible to rent a property for your antenna?with an electrical connection provided on the outskirts of the city?

07 Apr 2025 Dawn and dusk
Neither in the morning nor in the evening was much airglow visible in the ionosphere. In the evening?before sunset, atmospheric discharges were clearly visible in the antenna's passband between 19.5 MHz and 22.5 MHz.
These were possibly local blue-sky discharges. The nearest thunderstorms at that time were over Sardinia in the Mediterranean (1300 km away), over Tunisia in North Africa (1600 km away), and Krasnodar on the Black Sea (2400 km away). These distances are normal in the VLF range, but appear to be quite unusual here on shortwave.

Re: 06 Apr 2025 Dawn and dusk
Sabine, So impressed with your dawn/dusk! Wish I could see that here.? Mid month I will be moving up my band window to the center at 23Mhz. Well, after I do some antenna maintenance, as soon as the ground loses up.... Carl On Mon, Apr 7, 2025 at 5:52?AM Sabine Cremer via <sc=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Io-A observation?
Thanks Dave, Still learning.? Jupiter was in the beamwidth of the dual dipole during the observation.? I am getting some good solar flares, but Jupiter being up in the daytime is often a problem?for me with interference?(some days are worse than others).? Thanks for the resource, and I appreciate your looking at the image. Peter On Sun, Apr 6, 2025 at 10:48?PM Dave Typinski via <davetyp=[email protected]> wrote: Hi Peter, |

Sorry to say, I don't see any obvious Jovian DAM in your spectrogram. That is indeed the location of Io-A on the phase plane -- but, where was Jupiter in your sky at that time and where is your antenna beam pointing? For examples of Jovian DAM and other emission, the people that post their observations here are quite helpful. Hello Everyone, |
Re: data file error
Thanks, Richard.? Smaller files over 24 hours via a schedule sounds like a good option to make the data chunks more manageable. ? Has anyone had success using Radio Jupiter Pro to generate a schedule file based on event probability?? I suppose one caveat would be potentially missing other event types, such as Solar. Thanks again, Tyson On Sun, Apr 6, 2025 at 4:32?PM Richard Gray via <grayro=[email protected]> wrote:
