Sticky Welcome to Radio JOVE 2.0
Dear Radio JOVE Community, The Radio JOVE Project is a NASA Partner citizen science project where participants purchase, assemble, and operate their own 16-24 MHz radio spectrograph to observe solar, Jupiter, Galactic, and Earth-based radio emissions. Learn to become a citizen scientist and contribute scientific-quality data to our data archive. Visit Getting Started to learn how to participate in Radio JOVE. Regards, The Radio JOVE Team

07 Apr 2025 Dawn and dusk
Neither in the morning nor in the evening was much airglow visible in the ionosphere. In the evening before sunset, atmospheric discharges were clearly visible in the antenna's passband between 19.5 MHz and 22.5 MHz. These were possibly local blue-sky discharges. The nearest thunderstorms at that time were over Sardinia in the Mediterranean (1300 km away), over Tunisia in North Africa (1600 km away), and Krasnodar on the Black Sea (2400 km away). These distances are normal in the VLF range, but appear to be quite unusual here on shortwave. Io-A observation? 3
Hello Everyone, I need some advice. I'm trying to figure out what the different Io observations look like. Could you take a look at the two pics please. One shows where Jupiter was located on March 23 when the image was taken- which is in Io-A. My question is if the Spectrograph image is in fact an Io-A observation. Thanks so much! Peter

data file error 3
I'm running into an issue reviewing a 1GB 24-hour data file in RSS version 2.9.80. I'm typically getting error messages like the following: Is there a solution for this? What process or system are you all using for recording and reviewing data for events? There are many great event screenshots shared. Are these observed during live streams or do folks go back and review sweeps from recorded data? Thanks! Tyson
