Re: Nancay trip report

I really enjoyed browsing through your documentation. I spent some time searching the internet to see if the strange 4 m antennas in front of the common backplane belong to the early Telefunken "Lichtenstein" RADAR and like the "W¨¹rzburg-Riese" parabolic mirror antennas were part of Nancay's legacy from a very dark time. But I found no evidence of this. I wonder what was observed in Nancay in the 4 m band?

Re: Dec 02 2024. Io-C N emissions - Heliotown

Great record, the N-event immediately catches the eye. Can you give a description of what "polar" means in this context?

04 Dec 2024 non-Io-A

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Here's some really weak (low elevation angle) non-Io-A from the 4th.? Better for US west coast / Alaska / Hawaii.

Thanks for the trip report Dave, and pics! Very cool. - Tom

For those interested in some of the the details of the Nancay Radio
Astronomy
Field Station, here is a trip report from my visit there in 2016.

Hope you find it interesting!

Sabine, you might need to add a couple more adjectives when describing "the fan heater next door".

Nice John,
So I guess non-Io-A is a thing these days. About 400kK on your strip chart. I even saw it on the dipole.

Good Day all!
A VERY light trace of Io-B from my location.? Might be stronger from the west side observatories.
