M 94

Dear RAC,
Last night I got about 3 hours of exposure on M 94 in hopes of being able to detect its very large but faint outer halo, Ive sent two versions-one highlighting the galaxy itself, and the other its faint outer halo. These were imaged with the 10" MSRO/RAC RC telescope and QHY 294 M Pro CMOS camera using BVR filters and creating a pseudo-RGB image.

T CrB Light Curves 2025-February 2

Dear RAC, CAS , and Friends,

Well the outburst of T CrB that was expected last year did not happen, and over the past month I have been following this star in the morning sky. It seems to have settled somewhat into quiescence so the wait continues.

Here is about 30 minutes of data this morning before clouds interfered.

It is a perfect example of a barred spiral- one of the prettiest in the sky for sure! And very easy to find- just off the edge of the bowl of the Big Dipper near Gamma Ursa Majoris.?
