In many ways, i feel left out because i am not able to build projects fast like others here can.? I mostly build on the weekends.? And I am trying to get my ham shack back into shape again so i can do some soldering and building and testing again...? I made some head way this past weekend.

As my best friend would say Daniel - you do you. We all enjoy this hobby in our own ways. I must admit that on reading someone's blog, if they mention how many hours it took them to build something, my first thought is to wonder how they managed to keep count of the time spent. My second thought is that if I were even to keep track of the hours spent on a project, and disclose that number, it would reveal how extremely unproductive I am! I am fond of saying that I am a big fan of inefficiency; I think that if we concentrate too much on being efficient, the enjoyment gets squeezed out.

Don't worry about protocol or anything- this was just a way to engage people and give them an initial place to say something. Good to have you with us!
Thanks Ryan - and I'm glad you replied because as soon as I posted my introduction, I realized that I had intended to thank you for starting the group back when you did, and forgot to do that. I've been reading the mail for a while and, just like the old qrp-tech group, this is a great gathering place. So thank you for starting it, and continuing to be a presence. You are a prolific builder, and I love that.

I don't think I ever posted here before. But I too like to build things. Some from scratch. Some from kits. And some from taking existing kits, such as Heathkit (HW-7, HW-8 on the list) completely apart and rebuilding them from the ground up. And I simply like working on the bench bringing oldies back to life, big Hallicrafters S40-B on the bench right now. I seem to spend much more time on the bench than actually talking on the bands. Been at this 62 years now, still having fun, where has the time gone? 73, Richard AG5M
A bit of everything. I really relate to that Richard. Your comment highlights for me the reason we all do this - we just enjoy it. It's all the reason we need.
