QQ Arriving: BoD Vote info Included
Hi all.? With the most recent issue of QRP Quarterly landing in mailboxes I want to draw your attention to “QRP-ARCI News” starting on page 4. ? This month is the Board of Directors elections for QRP-ARCI and with Dick G0BPS and Ed W1RFI both deciding to retire after years of service, we know we will have 2 new members join the board after the election.? Candidate summaries and voting information is in the article. ? As outlined ?it the club bylaws, only paid subscribing members of QRP-ARCI receive a vote - so please do not publicize how to vote in this public forum.? New Board of Directors members will be announced at the banquet at FDIM.? Thanks 73/73? Jeff Hetherington / |

CW Practice / Rag Chew
开云体育On 4/28/25 I had a CW practice / rag chew session
on 20 meters. I worked three stations:
Conditions were OK with some QSB. SSN = 119, SFI =
156, A = 6, K = 1.
KA1HCF, Gil in St. Augustine was using a FX4C that was way off frequency. I run with a very wide filter for the practice sessions but I had to RIT almost a full KHz to hear him. I could not find an email for him. If Gil or anyone needs help with getting on the air, the Michigan QRP Club has a weekly Zoom meeting specifically to help folks with any Ham questions or any help that they may need. Info can be found here:.? My next CW practice session will be?April 29 at TBD EDT / TBD UTC on TBD meters. Tomorrow looks like all day rain. I will operate on and off most of the day and will depend on if and when there is lighting in the area. I will pick the band/bands based on conditions and time of day. So be sure to look for me on the RBN. Anyone and everyone is welcome. This practice is intended for operators who are new to CW or they need some practice. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW POOR YOUR CW IS. Mistakes are OK. Poor fists are OK. Slow speed is OK. Really slow speed is OK. This practice is meant for you to improve your CW. I will do my best to adjust to your skill level. Operate at any power level. If several stations show up, I will operate as a round-table control station. I will do it as a round-table so everyone gets a chance to transmit. Please listen to my directions. Details: Date - April 29 2025
Time - On and Off throughout the day Band - Depends on conditions and time of day How to find me - I will find a clear frequency and call CQ. Go to the Reverse Beacon Network and search for my call sign AB8DF. That will tell you what frequency I am on. Tune
your station to that frequency and if you hear me give
me a call. If there is a QSO in progress, please wait
for a break in the action. Then send your callsign. If I
hear you, I will invite you to join the QSO and start a
round-table QSO.
Reply to this email if you have questions. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW POOR CW IS Ed AB8DF |
