In the case of the QCX,
it's only required for adj of C1.
Any non conducting tool is suitable, there should be little resistance to movement with a trimmer cap.
A nylon tool with a snug fitting blade or one with a brass blade embedded should be fine.
What you don't want is to use is a common screwdriver which will act as it's own antenna / add your body to the front end tuned circuit....
At a pinch a pared down match stick or chop stick is a suitable substitute.
FYI, While Draper do some professional quality tools, their expert range tend to be perhaps one level above their budget types and often produced in the far east and rebranded,
you may find similar ones available in your locale just carrying another brand name on the internet sales sites.....

I am putting the finishing touches on my QRP Labs 40M QCX Transceiver.
I just watched a great video on the QCX by Hans Summers.
In the video Hans is using a Draper "Expert" 2.6 x 15mm Ceramic Blade to align the rig.
What do you folks recommend for the most bang for the buck on purchasing some ceramic alignment tools?
What is your experience?
