Dick Palmer, WB6JDH, and I rat around together in SoCal. Well, I pretty much head up to his digs in Whittier and he opens the magic gates of electronic and radio theory and practice for me. After, we grab a burger and do a post mortem. That said, I receive calls AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT where he passionately describes a build project success (or infrequent failure). In other words the old Weller is pretty much warm all night long and he is absorbing solder smoke at a prodigious rate and has little time else save for his adorable bride, Ann.
Bottom line is this: he mentioned that he was going to the Mesa Swap this weekend and was going to post a note to all who planned on heading out to bring their parts and scraps with the idea of turning Fuddrucker's or a similar venue into an ad hoc parts exchange.
I note that this message has not appeared as yet and -- ever being his "documentarian" -- I thought I'd stoke the fires. Sorry if duplicated.
Aside from that, I am green with jealousy that I cannot make it. But we will be at Palm Springs and Yuma, you can lay to that , George Mary!
Arrrrrgh!
