New Issue 2
Since the update to 0.41.0 I'm having a strange issue. Nothing was changed other than the update and now my FTDX10 does not change band and frequency correctly. When clicking on a spot and going from 40/80m LSB to 10-20m USB, the frequency changes correctly (at first) but the mode does not change correctly. The third double-click causes the mode to change correctly but the frequency Is NOW offset by the USB/LSB difference. Then the third double-click puts the frequency right. It does this in both directions. Can anyone point me in a direction of assistance? Linux Mint 21.3 QLog 0.41.0 w/ hamLib 4.6 -- V/R, Michael G. Mcguire, K3SNO 484-703-9591 So Mote It Be

Interesting behavior with 0.41.0 3
Fresh install of Linux Mint 21.2 Victoria. All updates installed. Installed QLog 0.41.0 (Linux Flatpak) No issues. Runs great. However when I execute the program a TQSL icon is placed on my task bar. I have not installed TQSL. Did not do this with previous versions. I also did a fresh Win 10 install on a second hard drive, and installed the Windows ver of QLog 0.41.0. Does not place this TQSL icon when running the Windows version. Clues? 73, WW4DX

Feature request: Clock setting toggle. (take a moment, hear me out) 9
I am a youtube presenter that does mostly ham radio videos. As such, through comments on my videos, I have a good impression of the general audience technical abilities. That said, I recently reviewed Qlog, my new favorite logging software and I love it. The perfect balance between features and simplicity. In my recent post about the clock and 24 hour time, one response pointed me to the wiki tip about setting an LC system variable to get the program to display 24 hour time. Thank you, that solved MY problem. However, I can state with confidence that the majority of the potential user base for this program are not at the skill level or competency required to be digging around in system configuration files and setting system variables. So, I would like to request a simple preference setting, a toggle between local and UTC time. In local mode, the clock would behave as it does now, basing it's display on the local system settings. In UTC mode, the clock would display 24 hour time and align it's offset to UTC. This could either be a setting in the preferences panel, or, ideally, a widget within the clock panel itself, allowing the user to toggle the time format as needed depending on their operating environment at the time. This would enhance the intuitiveness of the interface with regard to the clock display, and work for the entire potential user base. Thanks for any consideration, Kevin - KB9RLW

Map projection is wrong? 5
Hey Kevin, Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing? I'm curious if you are seeing the online or offline maps. If offline I wonder if it may be skewed if you have any sort of scaling on your monitor. I've not used the offline version so I'm not very experienced on it. I also use the MacOS version. Here is a snip of the online maps when I open a recent QSO. Michael, AA5SH

A way to update LOTW and eQSL details? 7
I have around 4000+ contacts that do not have the LoTW nor eQSL details on record. I downloaded the adif fro. Lotw site and was thinking on try to import, but I dont want to overwrite or duplicate the existing. Just to update any missing details on the current records. What would be the right process for that before I mess my logs?

Best practice? Recommendations? Two QTH and two PC¡®s 4
Dear all, currently I am using Qlog on my PC and I am very happy with it. Soon I will have another QTH and a different PC over there. How could I make sure that my logbooks are synchronized? Thanks and 73 Peter DL4ZAQ

Log location 3
I use qlog in both Windows and Linux. I would like to place my log in a Dropbox file, so the same file could be used from either OS. I'm not sure where the log file is located on my computer, and what other files would be necessary. Is it possible to do this? -- Roy KW4G Sebring, Florida USA

Ability to record and save the audio from the transceiver. Could be a good tool to review QSO's.

Problem on mac & Win version 6
Good morning, I have a problem with both versions of qlog (Mac and w11) If I call a callsign from the DX Cluster window, the frequency and the callsign are correctly passed to the radio (FLEX6400), to jtdx and to qlog, but the mode is not correct, in any case it only passes USB on high bands and LSB on low ones. This happens only in digital modes in cw everything is correct (I have not tried in SSB, I do not have microphones :) ) 73 Roberto IU2NUB

How to properly exit qlog? 3
Hi, I don't know how to properly exit qlog. Using Menu File -> Exit or pressing CTRL-C in the main window only closes the window. The qlog process keeps running and other open windows stay open. I could not find any hints in this group or the Wiki. OS is Kubuntu 24.04. Tested with 0.39, 0.40 and local build from current github master. What am I doing wrong? Wolf, DK7OB

POTA Activators 6
For anyone who uses QLog for POTA activations - could you explain how you use qlog's fields / your workflow before, during and after the activation. What could be improved? Probably one thing that is missing is generating the ADIF files suitable for uploading to the pota.app site - specifically for the multi park / multi park to park use cases. I looked on the pota website and there doesn't appear to be an api for submitting logs - it must be done through their website... am I wrong? Thanks Kyle VE9KZ

Yaesu FTdx10 rig control
Good afternoon. I have a few questions about controlling the radio Yaesu FTdx10 1. When I control via omnirig1 - CW mode is selected as I like, CW-L, but does not remember the selected filters for the bands. It uses the ones that were on the current band. For example on 40m I have a 12db attenuator on, and on WARC AMP1 a preamplifier. But when I switch bands in QLOG or click on a station in a cluster, my settings on the transceiver are ignored. If I switch the band on the transceiver - everything is fine, the desired settings are enabled. 2. hamlib in QLOG does not work directly at all, it thinks for a long time, then it seems to turn green, but it writes 160m band and AM mode, the radio is not controlled from the program. When I run hamlib from the command line (¡°C:\Program Files\hamlib-w64-4.5.5.5\bin\rigctld.exe¡± -m 1040 -r COM6 -s 38400 -t 4532), and then in the program select hamlib NET rigctl - it works fine. My range settings are all there when switching in the program. BUT! CW mode always becomes CW-R. I can't find anywhere in Qlog how to set the default CW or CW-R. In other programs there is an option for the desired CW mode, but in Qlog I didn't find it. Could you please tell me how to solve this? Either configure omnirig to remember my settings for the bands, or configure hamlib to default to CW-L mode Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
