On the CW issue and as you have said, it appears Yaesu and Icom?use LSB (CW-L) by default for CW and Kenwood uses USB on CW (CW-U) by default.
Therefore in Kenwood's world normal CW is CW_U and CWR is CW_L. For Yaesu and Icom it is the other way around. Clearly there is no such thing as normal and your explanation explains why my Kenwood gets changed to CWR if I click on the Qlog bandmap or choose "CW" in the Rig tab.
Would switching the Kenwood setting in the Omnirig Kenwood ini file fix it?
Regarding the CW console, I use a K3NG Winkeyer so if it could be modified that would be great. I appreciate you must have a long list!
Also I made some notes as I went along setting things up (I use Qlog with Windows 11). I'd be happy to write them up for you to review and put in the Wiki if you think they would be useful.
