Fox Hunt: first Hunt Winter 04-05 K3ESE
Lloyd Lachow
I will be one of your Foxii tomorrow evening at
nine pm EST, and I'll be somewhere within 10 kHz of 7.040. Wayne, W5KDJ, is slated to be the other Fox, and we're hoping for some lovely skip, so we can be thoroughly bitten up, and distribute beaucoup Peltii. For anyone who'd like to familiarize themselves with QRP Fox Hunting, head on over to and look around. Tally ho! LL/K3ESE __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Check out the new Yahoo! With any luck, without the Foxes divulging where theyMy opinion is that if the QRM is, indeed, purposeful, it comes from a source who has the access to the schedule as we do. Let's hope for the best! Is that part of the reason the hunt has been moved to Thurs.I think the Fox Hunt has been on Thursdays, usually, except for last Winter, when Tuesday was chosen to avoid a conflict with Xmas/New Years. The Changes This Year
Glad to see that there is more "hunt" in the fox hunt this year.Very
much looking forward to the new season. With any luck, without the Foxes divulging where they will be exactly and the change in the day of the week, maybe we will have less purposeful qrm(cost me a qso in the final hunt last year). Is that part of the reason the hunt has been moved to Thurs. night? Fox Hunt: Here it comes...!
Lloyd Lachow
This is the week the Winter Fox Hunt for 2004-2005
begins. We hope there are many Hounds ready for action. There are a bunch of highly-competitive teams out there, so that should be interesting to watch. As a reminder, we're trying to add more "Hunt" to the Hunt this season, in the following ways: Hounds are strongly discouraged from posting spots on the list during Hunts. Foxii will not be posting their frequencies, or even stating which Fox is high, and which is low. Both Foxii will be +/- 10 kHz of 7.040, so both could be above, or both below, depending on QRM. Good luck to all, and have loads of fun!!! I've got a lot to learn. I never have participated in a fox hunt but
it sounds like the sort of fun I'm looking for. Is anybody forming a team and have room for one more person? Or, failing that, anybody here willnig to take some time and help me learn where and how to get started with all of this? Thanks. 73 Kip N6NVP San Diego, CA |
tonight's fox hunt
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe band was very quiet except a signal here and there.? But I did hear K4BAI¡¯s very quiet signal and worked him with a 229 report.? I haven¡¯t heard Mike¡¯s signal from Texas at all.? It was another fun hunt.? 72 Bruce ve5rc |
