Public sidewalk astronomy sessions later this month

Hello all!

After a busy summer (and quite hot, not to mention hazy), we are looking forward to resuming public sidewalk astronomy sessions later this month on the parking lot of Chapters near Ogilvie road. ?The weekend of September 22-23 near the First Quarter Moon would be ideal or some of the nights before or after those dates. ?Saturn is also beginning to be visible earlier at night.

Stay tune as we get closer!

Clear skies!

Pierre

Hi Gordon,

Sorry, I have been ill and am late seeing your message here. ?It’s too late to organize for tonight, but I can supply the large signs, cones and handouts if someone is able to come pick them up in Orleans this weekend, and then drop them back when done. ?I think weather looks pretty good this weekend … if the clouds stay where they are suppose to be. ?Unfortunately I cannot participate but can assist with providing material and postings on FB.

Clear skies,
Pierre

Hey Pierre…

Oh, sorry to hear that. I thought I might have missed an email with the logistics. Given the last minute nature why don’t we skip tonight. Maybe we’ll have another opportunity before the white flakes of death return.?

Feel better soon!
